Trilogy - Not Just Yacht Training

MaldivesEco_HERO.jpg

So, Trilogy doesn’t just do training for yacht crew and those wishing to be yacht crew. We also do training for land-based hospitality. As you may know, Lauren is a trained butler and Trilogy offers Butler training as part of their luxury service. And with that gets to travel too far off places to share her knowledge and experience with others to guide them in achieving this high end and specialised service for their guests and principals.

Most recently Trilogy has started to work with a prestigious hotel chain in South Africa to train their staff as Butlers as well as develop a companywide standard and programme to elevate their staff and the service they offer. We are very excited and honoured to be able to work together with them in this way.

Currently Lauren is in a tropical destination on a private Island training Butlers for their very prestigious and high net worth guests that frequent the island. We asked her to share with us all her experience. So read on to hear about this amazing property and the people she has met.

When the call comes to travel to a unique and remote destination to train, how can you say no. My journey to the Island involved 2 commercial planes and a sea plane to reach this far-flung Island in the Indian Ocean. When I stepped out of the plan onto the floating dock, I was greeted by smiling faces, Azur Ocean and balmy tropical air. I felt like I was stepping into an advert for the perfect tropical Island, from the water to the palm trees in the back ground to the pure white sand on the shores. After 16 hours of travelling, I was ready for a shower and a few minutes to regroup. I was also eager to meet the people who had invited me here and get ready to start the training the next day.

I was shown to my accommodation which was a beautiful Water Villa, a 3-room stilted accommodation with glass peep holes in the floor where I could see tropical fish and baby sharks swimming in the reef below. The room was beautiful and immediately I was able to grasp the feeling of luxury, exclusivity and personal service that was evident in every detail and well-appointed decoration. The butler that was looking after me and showing me around already had amazing presence and professionalism, so I was so looking forward to meeting the rest of the team and getting to know more about the property and their goals.

Over the next week or so I had the privilege of sharing my knowledge and having knowledge shared with me by these amazing professionals. And like every external training we do I came away with having taught something and learnt something which I always feel enables to offer even more to our clients in the future in terms of diverse and board knowledge.

I am always grateful for the experience and knowledge I gained from my yachting career and that I am now able to do things like this, even though you are working, waking up in amazing locations and getting to share with others is wonderful, especially as we love what we do here at Trilogy.

If you are looking to get into yachting, advance your career in yachting or upskill your staff to offer a higher level of service get in touch with us, we would love to hear from you and discuss your needs. www.trilogyluxtraining.co.za
