Celebrating Six Years of Trilogy Luxury Training

This September marks a milestone for us at Trilogy Luxury Training – it’s our 6th birthday! It’s hard to believe how far we’ve come since 2019 when Lauren Norton founded Trilogy with a simple yet ambitious vision: to help aspiring yachting professionals step confidently into the industry. As we celebrate our anniversary, we want to reflect on our incredible journey, the challenges we’ve overcome, and most importantly, the support of our ever-growing Trilogy family.

Humble Beginnings

Back in September 2019, Trilogy Luxury Training launched with a single course: the GUEST Introduction to Yachting Stewardess Course, taught by Danielle De Bruyn. It was a small but meaningful start, with the goal of empowering students to follow their yachting dreams. From the very beginning, we knew that success wasn’t just about teaching skills – it was about creating a space where students could feel supported, confident, and inspired.

Weathering the Storm in 2020

By 2020, the world was turned upside down by the COVID-19 pandemic, and like so many businesses, we faced uncertainty. But thanks to the resilience and determination of our students, Trilogy didn’t just survive – we adapted and thrived. Laura Lander joined the team and together with Lauren, developed our online GUEST Senior Stewardess Course. Through innovation and the unwavering commitment of our team, we kept our doors open and continued to provide high-quality training when it was needed most.

2022: A Year of Change and Growth

As we emerged from the pandemic, 2022 brought big changes and exciting new opportunities for Trilogy. We welcomed Ronelle Du Plessis to the team and said a heartfelt goodbye to Lauren as she embarked on a new adventure in Australia. We also celebrated a significant achievement – receiving accreditation for the STCW course, a critical qualification for anyone entering the yachting industry. December was an especially busy month, with the launch of our first STCW course and the arrival of Sarah Green, who brought her passion and expertise to our Introduction to Yachting programme. Meanwhile, Danielle bid us farewell to begin her journey into motherhood.

Expanding Our Horizons in 2023

This year has been an incredible period of expansion for Trilogy. We launched our Junior Deckhand Course to complement our stewardess and STCW offerings, providing an even more well-rounded curriculum for aspiring yacht crew members. We also established Trilogy Placements, a recruitment service dedicated to helping our students find their first roles within the industry. Our mission has always been to guide and support our students from their first steps in yachting, and with Trilogy Placements, we’re able to do just that – ensuring that they not only gain the qualifications but also find the opportunities to put them into practice.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we celebrate our 6th anniversary, we’re filled with excitement for what the future holds. We’ve got something special planned for 2025, and while we can’t say too much just yet, let’s just say there’s plenty to look forward to! Keep an eye on our social media channels for more details on what’s coming next.

A Big Thank You to Our Trilogy Family

Our journey over the past six years has been incredible, but we couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you. To the 225 students who have completed our Introduction to Yachting course, the 275 who have gained their STCW qualifications, and the 30 deckhands who’ve trained with us – thank you for putting your trust in Trilogy. Your success is our success, and we’re so proud to have been a part of your yachting journey.

As we look ahead to the next chapter, we know that the heart of Trilogy is – and always will be – our community. We’re more than just a training provider. We’re a family, united by a shared passion for yachting and a commitment to helping our students thrive. Here’s to many more years of growth, adventure, and success together!

Happy 6th Birthday, Trilogy! And to all our students, past and present – thank you for being part of our story. We can’t wait to see where the next six years will take us.

With gratitude,
Team Trilogy
